Internal Investigation

Can you believe a report that internal investigators are going after government employees who abuse their expense reports and/or charge personal items to their "p-cards"?  Looks like their free ride days are over, too.  A few examples will be set - long prison terms, heavy fines, etc. - so that others can mend their wicked ways and be given a chance to reimburse the government or face similar austerity measures.

Don't say you weren't warned - pay back now or face pay back.  Your coworkers are being encouraged to report your abuse within their departments and get rewarded for their "loyalty," including having your job given to those lower down the line.

Don't believe me?  You don't have to.  We know who you are so we're not sending department-level emails, just quietly talking with those who only cheated a little who can get us the information we need on you, who cheated a lot.  When governments are hurting for money, they'll find ways to make you talk ... and pay ... and squeal.  Look forward to seeing your profile in the news - mug shots are such pretty pictures of you, don't you think?

Some corporations are said to be following their governments' example, so those of you in the private sector better get your faces cleaned up for your 15 minutes of fame, too.  What's the saying?  Hmm ... there's never a second chance to make a first impression on those who first saw your image on the front page above the phrase "alleged embezzlement disguised as travel and office expenses."  Explain that to your family, will you?  Can you?
