Who's Piloting This Ship?

Unraveling around the edges, are we?  First, my wife's sorority/fraternity, Zeta Tau Alpha, wins the stepping contest and then has to share their award.  Second, California universities show unrest is rising among our college-age youth.

We need real leaders to step forward and take control, not grandstanding that's leading us into a middle-class civil war that will start with skirmishes and quickly get out of hand.

Now is not the time to rush to force more change on the people, in United States or anywhere else.

Tens of millions out of work can make for a mess if we push too hard.  Don't set the spark on the campfire when others are looking for any sign, intentional smoke signal or not, to go on the warpath.

I sit here, watching the Tennessee-Arkansas basketball game and see young men dedicated to teamwork.  Let's use them as examples of hope for the future.

Yes, we can be frustrated.  Yes, we can feel like our lives are out of control.  But TOGETHER we work things out, one change at a time.
