Cartagena

If it weren't for the old paper map artwork on my wall, I admit I'd have forgotten that we used to see the world as centered on the equator. These days, every map is centered on the North Pole, with proximity to the Arctic defining the major world leaders, whose images are blown up and magnified, the rest of the countries in the lower latitudes looking tiny and insignificant by cartographic standards. Maybe I'm just dreaming, missing the importance of underground resources and other geographic features that daydream-states can't visualize. Time for an afternoon nap!
